So for the second time ever* my ipod found itself stuck in the locked position. Nothing I did was fixing it. And it’s really hard to weed through frillions of links and forums to find help on how to fix this. I was halfway to putting my ipod in the freezer when I asked my good friend Isabel for her help.

I’m going to try and blog this in a way that will hopefully help others who try and google a solution to this problem.

Problem: My ipod is stuck in the locked position. What do I do? How do I fix?

Solution: Slide your lock button so that it is actually locked. The slide it over to the unlocked position. Hold down the center and menu buttons at the same time until the ipod shuts itself off. Then turn it back on. Problem solved.

*The first time this happened the ipod magically fixed itself. Or so I thought. Probably what happened is that I actually did what I wrote above I just didn’t realize it.
